My fave Sims 3 expansions:

Late Night (I love Bridgeport)
Supernatural (I love being a wizard)
Seasons (I love taking control of weather)
University Life (I love the University)
Pets (I love them all)
Island Paradise (I love building and managing resorts)
Into The Future (I love the furniture and clothing)

I don't have any of these and I don't have Sims 3 anymore.
Right now, I have Sims 4 and I'm happy with it

Let me know if there is something else you would like to see. I am planning on doing a video about moving into your first Sim house, one about getting a job, and probably one about getting each of the new jobs (Detective, Doctor, Scientist, and Retail) in the Get A Job expansion!

Post by: Poppy on April 29, 2015, 03:10:31 AM
I may be dead when it comes to RAM.

If you would like to see if the game works on your system, you can go to Origin (if you have an account) and they have the Sims 4 Create-A-Sim Demo. This is a free demo and you can play around with creating Sims, while seeing if your computer has enough RAM to run the game!

I will definitely say that Sims 4 has less load time, less lag, and less slow and sluggish graphics than Sims 3!!!

I agree with kspoppy, if you're going to jump on the bandwagon, try out Sims 4. They're trying out a new thing called Game Packs, which are like mini expansion packs, so if you have a little bit of RAM spare but not enough for an expansion packs, then you can still get game packs, if you get what I mean :)

While I'm offline, I'm been bored and I just made this house tho, I call that Moonlight Mansion, but it seemed to be fitting as the Cortonith Mansion...

And speaking of that Cortonith Mansion I specify, I usually name as "Heart of Izayoi". Let's not forget that Cortonith Mansion has a lot value of 1,000,000+ Simoleons. I dunno what's exact. Because of the basement, and the three floors, and filled with decorated rich stuff... And since I have Get To Work, I just designed this kind of retail store, I never expected that the freizes could fit this large-walled building...!:

And let's don't forget what was this grass thingy at the roof:

That was some kind of logo for LaFleur - Orlando Enterprises. Miranda Mitnick's name at Sims 4 was Miranda Orlando. That LaFleur behind the building, is actually a ghost.    And that ghost's death was actually from workouts.

If I'm bored, I usually design big houses (dang, I'm just having too creative for small houses).

I recently built a house on the Sims 4, and despite not being the best builder I think I did okay

You can download it at the gallery: click here (http://www.thesims.com/gallery/8F0FF46C1E4A11E583847D584BD5834B?category=all&searchtype=ea_origin_id&sortby=downloads&time=all&searchquery=IchiRukii&max=25) (hopefully this link works)

This is Tessa Schultz. She's mean, hot-headed and self-assured. Custom Content used in her.
First picture is her Regular outfit. Hair is Custom Content, Top is from Outdoor Retreat, Bottoms are from Base Game, Shoes are Custom Content.

Second is her Formal outfit: Hair is CC. Dress is CC, Shoes are CC.

Tessa's Activewear: Everything is pretty much from Base Game I think.

Tessa's Sleepwear: Top might be from Get To Work (I'm not sure), bottoms from base game.

If it lags, then your gpu or PC isn't very good.

My gpu is low end, and I run Sims 3 on 60 frames and literally no lag.

I'd say 2020. Because it wouldn't take 9 years (not 10 years because its practically 2016) to make a new game. The longest gap between sims games was 8 years (Sims 3[2006] > Sims 4[2014]) and that's simply because they started all over again...

4 years is the most reasonable time, seeing as the game is way more complicated than earlier versions and I don't think they're going to start fresh, they'll probably use the same ideas as Sims 4 but just upgrade it (and hopefully add create a style).

Title: Re: The Sims
Post by: Alex Amethyst on November 25, 2015, 09:12:03 AM
Well, yeah. 2025 is more predictable, IF they would mix Sims 3 and Sims 4 together. I believe the game would be a bomb.

But they won't because it's just too much fuss. They will add more things to Sims 4. Which WOULDN'T take 9 years.

Halp, my computer always restarts when playing the Sims 4, Yandere Simulator and other really detailed games. What can I do to stop that? (Last time I played Sims 4 (Live Mode, not CAS) was like 4 months ago)

I have a pirated version of Sims 4, and it's perfectly safe (You just need to wait for updates long, but that's worth it). I found a mod that really interests me, it's called Sims 4 Turbo Career Mod. Basically, it makes every career a playable one (where you can follow your Sim and help him throughout the day) It looks really fun.

That sounds cool.
On Sims Freeplay, I am at Lvl 10 and I am on the Mysterious Island quest. Hope I unlock it soon!

I like the fact that when you're doing the Hunger Games challenge and you do the "Who drowns first, loses" in Sims 3, you can enter the build mode, when someone is dying and you can unblock the pool; or just delete the drowning moodlets by using TestingCheats. While in Sims 4, you can't delete moodlets, nor enter build mode, while someone is dying, you have to wait for Reaper to finish his job and while he does that, everybody in the pool dies.

Downloading something pirated, Billions of people do it, so billions of people will go to jail? Heck naw.
It's the people who PIRATE the games that you mean. But srsly, lots of websites have pirated games, and many of these games are too damn popular that most companies won't care (We got the cash for it already DAWG!)

So yeah.

If this is in The Sims 3, then no, unless they die from something. They'd usually move into another home.

There was a guy who was arrested for downloading pirated music. I'm not sure if there's a certain number of pirated downloads to be arrested.

Title: Re: The Sims
Post by: cozyhighway on July 13, 2017, 05:02:14 AM
Seasons is my favorite expansion in TS3. Although its climate is weird, like snowing in late spring, and too much rain, it can be fixed with a mod. The mod makes it perfect! I can make the perfect climate scenario for each town. For example I make Hidden Springs a lot cooler and foggier because it's on the mountain, or having winter holiday in Sunlit Tides but in scorching heat, and long autumn in Appaloosa Plains.

best first sims 4 pack (imo) is city living - thats the first one i got and it honestly has so much for gameplay, building and cas (although the ivy and old world furniture is great from vamps - but that doesn't offer many new gameplay options)
oh and the furniture that comes with bowling stuff is actually awesome - the big sofa!!!!!! (and the bright orange swatches)

toddler stuff is a waste of time, money and space.

IKR
Also since we see sneak peeks for next expansions in trailers (Pets in City Living trailer; Seasons in Cats and Dogs trailer), the next expansion should be  related to Supernatural

I have done one save without cheats (well almost because I use bb.moveobjects on when building) and I actually did pretty well. Two generations living in one house with 20k simoleons (due to Gen 1 being a scientist)

I refuse to but Stuff packs unless they are on sale for $5.00 or less. My only exception would be Vintage Glamour Stuff, but I wouldn't pay all $10.00 for it.

Right now, I have all expansions packs except Seasons. I payed $20.00 for Get to Work, $15.00 for Get Together, $20.00 for Cats & Dogs, and the full price for City Living. I also bought the Dine Out Game Pack for full price.

I have all the packs there are for Sims 4 except Seasons. (though I wonder why when I don't use packs like My First Pet Stuff like it's the worst one)

Title: Re: The Sims
Post by: Rossome on June 14, 2018, 08:11:43 AM
I consider most stuff packs to be "Oh, we should have added that gameplay in that expansion or game pack" pack. My First Pet Stuff is a DLC for a DLC.

My First Pet Stuff is a DLC for a DLC.
Exactly and that's stupid. Why should a DLC have a DLC of its own?

I'm gonna list the packs I would buy and not buy. Anything not listed has already been purchased by me.

Expansion Packs

Seasons

Game Packs

Parenthood (I am barely interested in raising my kid Sims so this will help.)
Spa Day (I really want a Sauna)
Outdoor Retreat (Camping! Yay!)

Stuff Packs

Vintage Glamour (Butlers.)
Bowling Night (I love bowling.)
Toddler (I need more hair and clothes for Toddlers.)
Laundry Day (Washing clothes!)
Fintess (New fitness attire and a rock climbing wall.)
Perfect Patio (Hot tubs!)
Backyard (Slip n' Slides!)
Kids Room (Like the clothing and hair options.)
Movie Hangout (Popcorn Machine, Movie Theater type items.)

Other

Digital Deluxe (Comes with Life of the Party, Awesome Animal Hats, and Up All Night DLC.)

Game Packs

Vampires (I don't want my Sims to become Vampires.)
Jungle Adventure (Why Jungle?)

Stuff Packs

My First Pet (A DLC for a DLC.)
Luxury Party (Just a few cool clothes.)
Spooky (Most of it will be incorporated in Seasons.)
Cool Kitchen (Only new thing is a small ice cream machine.)
Romantic Garden (The only gardening I care about is planting produce.)

Guys, it that the Origin servers are down, and that I don't own any Sims Games and Packs. Is this happening to anyone else?

Update: Of course after I post about it, the server for me is back up. Nevermind.

In the new update, your Sims have warm weather and cold weather outfits, even if you don't have the Seasons Expansion Pack. And so far, there has been no weather in my game. Why are there those two new types of outfits? Please note I do not have the Seasons Expansion Pack.

Title: Re: The Sims
Post by: olivia hye on July 10, 2018, 11:56:48 AM
The outfits were put in the base game update along with the glass roofs and the new UI for gardening, so everyone has them

Your sims will never wear those outfits unless you select them to wear them when changing outfits unless you get Seasons, so then you'll have those outfits put on and off during heat waves and hot weather and cold and freezing weather

Glass roofs?!?!?! (Add glass roof to my penthouse with window-covered walls)

I think I have used glass roofs in every build I have done since the update

I haven't used glass roofs yet but I can see how they'd be useful.

Try looking at some pictures of real life houses and try to get some ideas for building from them.

What stuff packs/expansion packs/game packs do people recommend?

I have vintage glamour already but thats it although I fully intend to get Cats and Dogs next week.

I'm not sure what packs are available for console so can't really help, sorry!

Anyway PC users will get a bug fixing + feature update on the 31st (next week) however we do not know what feature will be added. However we do know what won't be added (you can see the list on Twitter @SimGuruKate)

I'm think about restarting my Sims 4 game. I have way to many Sims, some of which aren't even related to my core Sims family. However, I want all of my Sims kids to have the same spouse. But there's a problem. Some of their spouses were introduced after I bought an expansion pack. For example, one of my Sims became an young adult around the time I bought the Cats and Dogs pack, to a Sim who was an adult. But if J restart my game, the spouse Sim will be an adult, and the Sim who got married wouldn't even be born yet. What should I do?

A trailer for a new pack (presumably the sixth expansion) released tomorrow!

This is super exciting as it seems like The Sims 4 may finally be getting a bit of a new life! First, a new career and terrain tools and new celebrity-based pack? It's an exciting time to be a Sims 4 player!  :)
