Title: Location
Post by: Abu on January 16, 2018, 09:18:39 AM
Any locations we have yet to hear of? I only recall Oniontown and New Pepperton, both of which don't really seem to fit this Gameria.

Or perhaps this will be in a previous city.

Maybe it could be, like Hot Doggeria being in Tastyville, or it could be a whole new location like Bakeria.

I thought that the mall was in Frostville (or the Cupcakeria city) though?

Frostfield was Cupcakeria.

Maybe we can see another side to Frostfield?

I mean I thought that Whiskview was near Frostfield. Similar colour schemes, Mayor Mallow as mayor.

I don’t think they ever said that. The Wikia just states it’s in a mall called Whiskview Mall, in the city of Whiskview.

Title: Re: Location
Post by: Sean on January 16, 2018, 05:02:20 PM
It will be Prune Creek, I believe. Oniontown does not have to do with sundaes unless its a gummi onion. I don't think Prune Creek was mentioned in the same flipdeck as the new gameria Easter egg for nothing. onions are purple,  We'll see, I guess.

Title: Re: Location

A retirement home is just one building, and lots of cities have them. If you're going to act condescending, you might as well make a valid point.

I was thinking that next week, Flipline will reveal Carlo Romano and Koilee in Scooperia's uniforms, but I'm still worried that Papa's Scooperia might be set in Oniontown, because of the purple background in the first sneak peak, even though Scooperia has sweet foods.

Also, Whiskview isn't maroon, so the restaurant colour doesn't have to match up with the city colour (although it is common)

They're both in distinct parts of Tastyville. If Scooperia is in an existing city, it will be inside of an establishment like how Hot Doggeria was inside of Griller Stadium.

Title: Re: Location
Post by: Ducky Momo on January 20, 2018, 09:16:10 AM
Oniontown doesn't have a colour scheme. None of the cities do. Fort Onion in PL2 has a colour scheme, Dark Purple, Dark Green and Brown. Scooperia is a pale purple/lavender colour. As well as that, Ice Cream and Cookies in a place called Oniontown. Please... There is no evidence supporting that Ice Creameria is or even should be in Oniontown only on the basis that it is a confirmed location, but so is New Pepperton so why not their? Exactly. It doesn't work.

Title: Re: Location

A lot of the buildings in Frostfield, as well as the Batters logo, are pink. Cupcakeria was pink.
A lot of the buildings in Starlight City, as well as the Buffaloes logo, are red. Wingeria was red.
The majority of baseball team logos have the same colour scheme as the Gameria in that city, there's no reason to believe Oniontown would be any different.

It does not make sense, yes.

But Scooperia is purple, Oniontown is purple and Oniontown is unused.

That doesn't mean it makes sense.

It could be Oniontown or Prune Creek, but if they want to, a new.

Title: Re: Location

Title: Re: Location
Post by: Nickito on January 21, 2018, 08:48:09 AM
Baseball logos haven't actually failed us before.
Allan's Flipdeck has a purple background that probably represents Oniontown.
In Flipline games, onions are purple, so that also makes sense.

but Oniontown and Scooperia are different shades of purple. If Scooperia was actually in Oniontown they would change the colour that little bit to match.

Title: Re: Location
Post by: Resolutely on January 21, 2018, 09:46:59 AM
If oniontown is actually an onion-themed town using it as  the town for Scooperia makes no sense

And prime creek was revealed on the same flip deck that teased 14th gameria I doubt it was coincidence but it might be a red herring

Title: Re: Location

It makes sense now that you think about it. Oniontown is based off of Brooklyn, New York, where ice cream is iconic.

Title: Oniontown = Brooklyn, New York City
Post by: Abu on January 30, 2018, 09:41:18 AM
Did you know that Oniontown is based off of Brooklyn, a borough in New York City? Let's compare them.

First off, we have the bridge in the top, definitely based on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. The architecture is the exact same.

And then we have the rowhouses, a common aspect of Brooklyn's architecture.

Brooklyn is a borough commonly known for being much more in poverty and staved by gangs than the other areas of New York City, so Oniontown fits the basis perfectly.

It also makes sense why Papa's Scooperia is here, because ice cream is famous in Brooklyn and many unique dishes came from there. Maybe even cookie sundaes.

Well Papa's Scooperia brightens everything up in Oniontown. The architecture of the buildings are at least from the 1800's/early 1900's, however they have been abandoned with graffiti. Plus the bridge and the subway station are like a color of a onion, purple and dark shade green.

Every Gameria has a location that best matches it's food. For example, Sushi is popular in Asian areas. And Sakura Bay is based off a small Asian community in the forest. Hot dogs are served in a stadium, because hot dogs are a very popular food in stadiums. Tacodale has tacos, because taco is in its name. Oniontown doesn't match cookie sundaes. Yes, dessert is popular everywhere, but the bright colors of the Scooperia, and it's theme, doesn't match it's sketchy location in Oniontown. Plus, it's ONIONtown. Oniontown would've been a perfect place for a said, sub, or onion themed restaurant.

As an urban city I would prefer papa to serve a sub or a platter there

Riceria or Kebaberia maybe (Halal Guys anyone?)

And by the way i really like the subway station being included there. I'm a big fan or urban rail.

I never thought of a Kebaberia. That would've been an amazing idea for Oniontown! And they can put actual onions on it!

I swear if there is an Onion Ice Cream or Onion Cookie I'm gonna die.

Yes, HG.

I've re-read several Flipdecks. Allan moved to the "dingy streets of Oniontown". So, this location was  concieved like that at least 5 years ago. It's really curious :) I like Easter eggs.

Yes, in fact, Oniontown is the last major town (with a baseball team in Hot Doggeria) that we have not visited yet.
