I got asked the square root of 70
if it's a mental math thing, you know it'll be between 8 and 9 (sqrt(64) < sqrt(70) < sqrt(81)). other than that, it's just guessing.

Are hemichordates invertebrates?

yes, hemichordates, although closely related to the chordata, are invertebrates and lack any sort of spinal function.
3  General / General Discussion / Re: Which way do you write order tickets? on: March 15, 2018, 10:13:05 PM
Handwriting is top to bottom because that's how writing works
Tickets, for me, are bottom to top because you have to start with the foundation of the order
yeah, i know handwriting is taught top to bottom, but some people write bottom up, so i was wondering if that had any effect. sounds like it might not, since you write top to bottom but write orders bottom to top.

We might be able to purchase a scooping guide for $400 and an advanced scooping guide for $500 in the upgrade shop
yeah, scooping guides will definitely be available if this is the hardest station. i'm hoping it'll be more useful than the cutting guide and actually give the player an easier time scooping.

i, personally, write most orders top to bottom; however, i'm not sure if it's because my handwriting is top to bottom. it would be interesting to see whether bottom writers started at the bottom of a ticket.

definitely excited for dough station; however, i'm a little worried about scoop sensitivity. this seems as if it will be the most easy station to mess up on, what with all the variables involved in scooping (depth, lateral movement, etc.). hoping it'll be a little easier on us than it looks right now.

honestly, i can't even believe it at this point. he was so influential to the way we understand the universe, and he was a role model for me and a huge chunk of aspiring scientists. rest in peace.

10  General / General Discussion / Re: Hardest Gameria on: March 11, 2018, 05:20:28 PM
I say freezeria because it's almost pure luck to get a perfect because of the build station system. (Same with pancakeria drink station but freezeria is more based around that station so I chose that) and also because I find the whipped cream hard to apply.
that's actually a really good point. to be honest, i was just thinking of pure level up/make it through the day difficulty, but the difficulty of perfection definitely puts games like freezeria, cupcakeria, etc. on top.

honestly i think pizzeria is the hardest, simply because of the lack of waiting bonus items. by day 10-12, i find myself getting below 50% waiting scores on later orders; i'm not sure if it's just because i've adapted the way i play more recent papa's games to pizzeria, but i always have unhappy customers late in the day.

He doesn't work there. He eats there.
i mean, i don't think people are allowed to bring rats into most restaurants to eat, so he might have to leave pastrami outside. maybe they have a special pet-friendly area or something?

True true, I usually think of hurt/comfort as more of a dysfunctional relationship thing but I can see how it could be that way too. Also I totally understand the problem with pickiness. Just wondering how you came up with criteria.
15  Community / Fan Fiction / Re: Fan Fiction Survey on: April 03, 2016, 07:29:08 PM
done and done
also why is comfort/hurt an option? 1. that fits under romance i would think and 2. that's not really a genre. i would either remove it or replace it, but i don't think many people think of hurt/comfort as a genre, just a subgroup of romance.
