20  General / Help and Support / RoS is dead ,so what we would do? on: November 26, 2016, 07:26:46 AM
Dear Matt ,I have no idea what I can do to save my free time.
Anyways if Valve Corp. will support you in re-making RoS ,game will be much larger than dead one.
So what would we do? I hope you can do something to save RoS.
Maybe another steampunk game that is singleplayer and good for your programming skills?
That's only ideas.

Thanks for reading,

21  General / Help and Support / Why you're destroying my life? on: November 25, 2016, 02:28:56 PM
Now I have nothing to do.
Without RoS my free time is boring.
Anyways.. You're lying , 'cause of you created RoS in 2008.
And you told us you can't do it or release ,but we wasn't talking about: You must release it!
We was talking about:Make files then we will launch servers.
What's the problem? You made it. So why you don't wanna send it to us? We have +100 plans for RoS ,but we don't know your programming language and graphics.

Btw thanks

Really you think Matt have heart from stone?
Maybe there's a new hope.

26  General / Suggestions / Re: Release Remnants of Skystone as a Single Player Game on: November 05, 2016, 09:52:59 AM
Yes please, RoS is the only game I never played
Firstly they need to make a demo.
Why not?
Demo version can be playable for training before full version.
27  General / Suggestions / Release Remnants of Skystone as a Single Player Game on: November 04, 2016, 01:09:41 PM
In the past, Flipline studios had a free multiplayer online game called Remnants of Skystone. While it did have some multiplayer elements, it was really the single player aspect of the game That shined through and made up most of the games content. It was a sidescrolling adventure game with three different classes that could accommodate be played similar to the recent Castlevania games based around Completing missions in different areas. The game was quite popular, and it has had tons of content. It was Fleshed out to the point That the game has wiki with over a thousand detailed pages. Sadly, Flipline was unable to find a payment method to cover the games servers. They Introduced a premium payment feature, but it did not get enough subscriptions to cover the game. The game went stagnant for years, with it's updates being sidelined for more profitable clones of Papa's Pizzeria. The game was finally taken offline in 2015.

The taking down of the game was a great loss to the community. Many people enjoyed playing it, but because it was online only it could not be downloaded, and it now unplayable. Considering That most people played single player Which technically should not require an internet connection, this is unreasonable. Also, while the game was connected to external servers, it was hosted on the Kongregate website. It had several Achievements on That site associated with the game, and they are now unaccessible because it was taken down. Really the worst part of taking the game down Was That despite all it's content, it was never complete in the first place. The map of the game's world made it clear it would have five areas, but only three were ever released. There was simple multiplayer four areas, three of them Corresponding to the single areas and the One That apparently corresponds to what would likely be the final area in the game, but it never came to realization. The game had a very original world with an engaging story, but it was never resolved as the game was never completed.

While the game was originally created to be a sidescrolling multiplayer game, I think the multiplayer aspect is ultimately the reason the game could not be supported. Due to technical limitation the game lacked player-versus-player multiplayer Essentially Defeating the purpose of having the game be multiplayer. The single player element, however, was as solid as any other game in the genre, and could easily stand alone. If the game were to be converted to be single player only, it would not need it's on servers, instead being hosted entirely on Kongregate's servers. Not only would they no longer need to spend money to keep the game running, but due to Kongregate's ad revenue service they would actually be making money. Finally, sticking to the single player game would make it easier to create a satisfying resolution to the story as more focus can be placed on it.

While the limited multiplayer was fun, it is now gone, and unlikely it revived. But the unless the files were deleted, there is no reason why at least the single player game can not be salvaged. It will take some labor to isolate the single-player game from the original files, and more to complete the other two areas of the game, but it is possible. So Therefore I suggest That Flipline Studios Creates a crowd fundraising campaign to support the porting and completion of Remnants of Skystone That so small it once again be enjoyed. If people sign this petition, it will be a sign That people are interested in having Remnants of Skystone return, Including people willing to invest money into the project. Either way, I ask for Flipline Studios is seriously Consider Reviving Remnants of Skystone, Their greatest project, so small Actively That people enjoy it once again instead of just reading pages on the wiki.

Trenchfoots - are the faster and stronger relatives of the Swampfoot and Bruinscale and appear only in the Nidarian Guard-only Daily Quests "Trenchfoot Sightings" (CY0003) and "Trenchfoot Study" (CY0063) from Cypress. During Sightings! quests, they appear in one of the three areas of the Ridgeback Highlands or in the West End Ruins. The Trenchfoot has the ability to jump from platform to platform. They can do this just as quickly as any player character. They use mid-range horizontal melee slashes to attack the player and also have the ability to attack above their heads. This can be especially dangerous if an Aeronaut or Crag becomes cornered and tries to escape by jumping over the Trenchfoot. Their melee attacks apply the Sprained affect to the character, which results in the attack stat being lowered by 50%.
