I've played the SNES version just now. It was simply boring, but alright.

I don't have the game, nor an 3DS. I heard it is interesting, but it has less characters than the Wii version, because Mario Kart 7 is in a handheld.

Yeah @SpongeBob29, but I don't have a 3DS or Mario Kart 7, but once I get a 3DS, I hope to get Mario Kart 7. Although Mario Kart 7 does have less characters than Mario Kart Wii, it does feature some exclusive characters and the gliding features.

Characters Exclusive to Mario Kart 7:
Metal Mario
Wiggler
Honey Queen
Lakitu
Shy Guy (can be obtained on DS via multiplayer)

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7 are the only Mario Kart games I haven't played yet.

My favorite Mario Kart game I've played is Mario Kart DS. I like the introduction of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection availability and also some kart features which were introduced as well. But, I don't have Wi-Fi on my Nintendo DS.

Mario Kart 64 was OK, but there weren't any new features, but it has awesome courses. I'm good at this game.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit was OK, yet the same thing with Mario Kart 64, but it has a weird quality.

Super Mario Kart was boring IMO. That's all for me.

I have played all of the Mario Kart games besides Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Kart 7. My opinions on the games are below:

Super Mario Kart doesn't have the best graphics and the fact that the coins and items are flat and the courses are short just doesn't make me like the game.

Mario Kart 64 wasn't the greatest because it was just like Super Mario Kart but with slightly better quality. I agree that the courses were awesome and the courses were still good when they were used again on the newer games. On the plus side, Donkey Kong Jr. was replaced by Donkey Kong and Koopa Troopa was replaced by Wario.

As for Mario Kart: Super Circuit, I believe it was kind of hard to control and the levels weren't the greatest. It was like a remake of Super Mario Kart, just for Game Boy Advance. One good thing was the multiplayer option with the different-colored Yoshi's.

Mario Kart DS is awesome...it has Wi-Fi Connection available (which is cool), new karts/courses, and they also made the past courses come back (which was used later in Wii, 7, and MK8). I also like missions and the gameplay is a lot more improved compared to the last games.

Mario Kart Wii is most likely the best Mario Kart (until Mario Kart 8 comes out) because it has 24 different characters plus 2 Mii outfits, Wi-Fi races, Wi-Fi tournaments, world records, a wide selection of both karts and bikes, and the graphics are better than the other games (only slightly better than DS).

I heard Mario Kart 7 has gliding ability and also a function where you can tilt the 3DS to make yourself drive (kind of like the Wii's Wii Wheel). Mario Kart 8 is supposed to be Zero-Gravity!!

I am looking forward to getting Mario Kart 7 as I have said already.

I only played like two games but here are my opinions.

  • Super Mario Kart is hard to control and thus there isn't much characters. The plus side is that Koopa for the first time is playable.
  • Mario Kart 64 wasn't the best, it removed Koopa and replaced him with a fatbutt. The courses were good.
  • Super Circuit was simply similar to SMK but still no Koopa.
  • All the games are better after Double Dash, as they finally added new characters.

Mario Kart 7 has kart customization, which along with coins, ruined the game for me (I have it though)
Mario Kart 8 isn't looking much better

Super Mario Kart: Meh, too repetitive with the tracks.
Mario Kart 64: Meh, worst graphics, but best track ideas. Some executions were poor, however.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit: Never played.
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!: The double part wasn't that good, although I liked the battle mode.
Mario Kart DS: Graphics aren't really as good as they could have been, and ROB? Really?
Mario Kart Wii: Best Mario Kart game. Actually, best Mario spinoff, and Top 3 best Mario games.
Mario Kart 7: Agreed with Vinnie.

I must agree with you for Mario Kart DS for R.O.B. I don't get why it has appeared in the game, because it is only an accessory for the NES.

Just got Mario Kart 7, it's awesome.

Anyone wants to race with me? I'll have to unlock some things first, and then I'll be sure to.
