What Zetsubeau said. Here's the order of things you would have to play/see to get into it:
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (Vita/PS4/PC)
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (Vita/PS4/PC)
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (Vita/PS4/PC)
Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School (Anime)
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (Vita/PS4/PC)

A visual novel series with investigations and class trials. Side-modes for the games too. You can interact with the characters of course.
Oh, and if you're still interested, copy the list I made above and leave this topic now, because there are some spoilers.

You mean the post-games? I use the 'school mode' or 'salmon mode' whatever just to finish free time events to learn about the characters. Haven't tried the others though, and have only watched Danganronpa 1/2/Despair Girls.
