I voted biological sex. Nice forum poll/discussion.

Personally, I don't really follow the debate about the LGBTQ topic very much, but something I've never understood is why someone would chose to be gay, transgender, or other things like that. I've heard the argument that some say they were born thinking like the opposite gender, but that's just who they are and what their likes or interests are. Thinking like the opposite gender doesn't mean that you are of the opposite gender, or that they're bisexual, or anything like that. A girl doesn't have to think or act feminine, and a guy doesn't have to necessarily "think like a guy" or have the same interests as other guys. I don't really understand bisexuality or asexuality, and I think that everyone just has their own personality and interests. A lot of LGBTQ people regret their lifestyle choices later on too from what I've been told. In the end, I suppose that it's each individual person's choice on how he or she wants to live his or her life, but I personally think that everyone was either born male or female, and that everyone is just different. I'm not trying to push my views on others, and I'm open to criticism. Like I said, I don't understand it very much, and if you disagree with me, any explanations would be helpful.
That's because sexuality isn't a choice. The feeling of attraction is a very sudden feeling. It can't just be controlled. Also, if your sexuality was a choice, why don't the non-heterosexuals not choose to be heterosexual since the LGBT isn't totally accepted?

What has this country come to?
An accepting one...

Not all straight people are against homosexuality.

Even if they are the reason, There is no need to flaunt that homosexuality is the dominant form.

Especially since homophobia is on a downward trend.

PS: I do not like when gay people flaunt their gay frequently, Example; Tyler Oakley.

Just like homophobia, yes, yes it does.

Here's a thing that happened to one of my friends. I was there.

Basically, we were walking down the sidewalk, talking about something meaningless. I think it had to do with a movie. Then this bus screeches up, stops next to us, and a bunch of people with "Down with Cis" shirts climbed out and started beating him up. I was punched and kicked a bit too, but I managed to avoid brutalization by going for their faces. After figuring out what's happening, I started attacking them back, getting them off of him. He was quite injured but I called 911 and he made a full recovery at the hospital. I was fine, with only a cut on my arm that they patched up.

No, people who decided they don't like homosexuality are.

Them being straight is unrelated.

So show me some non-straight people who dislike homosexuality then

The majority of people are straight which is why it is unrelated.

Someone decided to oppress them, but it wasn't because they are straight.

If it's not related to them being straight, then why did they oppress them? Did they just wake up one day and say "Hey, I think gay people are inferior"?

Basically I don't think all homophobia comes from "I'm straight and they're not!". Obviously some people think that and discriminate for that reason but not all, or even most. A lot of people are just taught it's bad

the point is that straight people are the biggest source of homophobia, and theyre the reason it exists in the first place.

All you homosexuals may hate us, but when you treat us like this, you're no better than us.
