For the game as a whole, I'd argue its good news- a social deduction game needs to cost money- compare the community in ToS and Mindnight to the community in ToL and you can see why. Sure, games that are free to play are a lot of fun, the free to play aspect of ToS made me stop playing it unless with a group of friends. Coven never fills, and normal games have too many gamethrowers and bots. Adding a pay will lower the number of players but increase the quality of the game- as a whole, I'd say it was a fine decision to make but will obviously cost backlash. Next thing to do is make Coven come with this instead of being DLC as people won't want to pay twice.
