Since both the March for Life and Woman’s March recently took place, and abortion being a hot topic in both marches, what are your opinions on abortion? Feel free to discuss your thoughts and opinions. Please be peaceful when commenting / replying. If they aren’t really ready to raise a child, suffered from trauma, or their lives are in danger, then it’s okay.
But please don’t use abortion as birth control.

I'm not sure if this topic is a great idea to make, but I'll say I'm very pro-life. I believe that abortion should be illegal in almost all cases, unless it's life-threatening to the mother or child.

I'm pro-choice. I simply believe that women should have the choice and there is a chance some people will try and do these procedures themselves if it is banned, and it will just cause more harm.  |

I am pro-choice because women deserve the right to choose. They know what is best for them. Abortion is commonly used only when there is a difficult situation. The statistics that "99% of abortions are women who just didn't want babies" are blatantly false. I may support a cap on abortion. For all the religious folks out there; God said that until past the first trimester, the fetus was not yet living, so this distinction makes sense. I'm pro-choice. I simply believe that women should have the choice and there is a chance some people will try and do these procedures themselves if it is banned, and it will just cause more harm. You are correct, and statistics are in your favour. Wherever abortion is or has been illegal, thousands of women attempt(ed) it anyways, or they gave birth and then killed the baby because they couldn't support it. |

If it’s life threatening for the mother than I think its ok, but if you just don’t want a kid then that’s completely disgusting, that’s a human life that should have rights, it’s not the woman’s body, it’s a complety different body, it has different dna even as an embryo. If you cant raise a child put them up for adoption. My brother was adopted because his mother wasn’t mentally able to take care of him, if they decided to abort him, I wouldn’t have an older brother.

Except if you are pro-choice, you believe that women should be allowed to get abortions, meaning you don't think there's something fundamentally wrong about them, even if you wouldn't get one yourself. |
