Well, here it is, folks! I’m opening submissions for my third FC tournament today, and I hope you’ve all taken advantage of these past two months by selecting your best FCs to go up against these veterans.
Wait, veterans? Yeah, I had better explain that part.
As you can see, this tournament will have some significant changes from my previous ones. But the most important change is that the theme of this tournament is Veterans vs. Rookies! Half of these 64 contestants are veterans from my previous two tournaments, and these veterans were hand-picked by me to return for a second chance at victory! You guys can also enter some FCs (see rules below), and the 32 that I select will become the “rookies” of this tournament.

Current Veterans-Rookies Ratio: 1:1
Leading: Tie Match! So, here are the basics of what you need to know about this tournament.
Q: How many characters can we submit?A: You may submit up to four characters, just as long as you have at least one male customer and one female customer. Names are also important, so be sure to let me know the names of your entries. No troll submissions will be accepted. You may also reserve spots for your entries.
Q: What should the characters be made in? Kingsley’s Customerpalooza 2018, or Papa Louie Pals?A: Doesn’t matter to me, just as long as I can see the entire design.
Q: What if my entries wear clothing that I had to buy in PLP?A: That’s perfectly fine. I own all packs in PLP, meaning that I have all clothing items.
Q: Are my entries guaranteed to be in this tournament?A: I will make sure that everyone has at least one of their entries in this tournament.
Q: I want to enter a character that I entered in your last tournament. Is that possible?A: Of course, just as long as they weren’t accepted into the tournament. They may have a lesser chance of getting into this tournament, but the chance that they can get in is still there.
Q: How will this tournament be set up?A: Differently than last time, I can tell you that. Obviously, there will be twice as many competitors, as well as twice as many rounds and divisions. From the start of the tournament up until the finals start, this will be a simple, single division tournament. However, the finals will be set up differently: round robin style. Two winners will be declared after the three stages of the finals, and if there is somehow a tie, then a tiebreaker round will be held.
Q: Veterans? So does that mean that the winners from your previous two tournaments will be appearing?A: Nope, I’m sorry to say that Ode and Lea will not be returning for this tournament. Also, the runners-up from those two tournaments, August and Tyler, will also not be returning. I feel like it would be unfair to have them compete when they’ve already gotten so far into the tournament.
Q: Wait, hold on. You’re re-entering characters from your second tournament? But that one didn’t have any of your characters in it! What if the characters’ owners didn’t want them to be re-entered in a tournament?A: After selecting 16 of the best characters from that tournament, I did make sure to ask their owners for permission to have them compete again. My offer was turned down by a couple users, but I did finally end up with 16 veterans from that tournament that got the “okay” to re-compete.
Q: And… your characters are also coming back to compete again, Speedo? Doesn’t that give you a large advantage of winning?A: Possibly, but don’t forget that there are more competitors and twice as many winners than your everyday Flipline tournament. Anything could happen. Also, let me just make a reminder that you guys determine who moves on to new rounds. You all could get together and agree to vote against my characters if you wanted to!
Q: You had strikes in your previous tournament. Will those be included in this one as well?A: Well, I feel like they would be best. Last time, my rule was “two strikes and you’re out.” I’ll keep the same rule for this tournament as well. If I catch you whining, spamming, or talking bad about another user/competitor, then I will give you a strike. A second strike will get all of your entries currently “alive” in the tournament disqualified. So, in conclusion, please do not be immature. I want us all to have fun here, after all!
Q: Nice theme, I guess. What’s the point of it?A: It’s just something that I thought would be cool for a tournament. Also, this theme can help the tournament feel more like a true competition, just like with the popular theme, “Battle of the Sexes.” Also, the addition of another winner spot brings up an interesting question: will the two winners be veterans, rookies, or one of each? Personally, I’m excited to see! May the best team win.
Looks like that's all the rules! If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, or you can ask in PM if you would rather.
Now, let’s begin submissions for Speedo’s FC Tournament S3 - Veterans vs. Rookies!
