Boy oh boy what an eventful day we had on Saturday! I'm Sky DeLark from FSN2 giving you your dosage of news today!
Without further ado, due to a hefty amount of content to cover, let's get on with it.

Flipline News

As per usual in the news, anything Flipline announces on the Blog always comes first and that means that I can say Flipline released a Papa Louie Pals preview showcasing a new scene in the upcoming pack! Apparently it looks like Tacodale is the Hollywood of Flipline, which is quite interesting as a concept in itself! With the pattern of Bakeria's release, I'm going to guess that the Taco Mia and Bakeria pack might be coming together as one release, so I wonder if that'll actually follow the recent trend of updates!

Forum Airport

Kory and Petey K had returned from their respective short breaks, while Almei returned from their long break, with RUNEPATRIARCH leaving the Forum due to not wanting to cause trouble.

Bans & Moderation

Oh goodness have we a lot to go through here! First of all, while we were speaking of RUNEPATRIARCH's departure, I will admit he had also received a 3 day ban that has been subsequently extended to 7 days for rudeness to CookieCrafter80. I'm not too sure how much this will impact him due to him leaving, but it is best to noted that we hope that when he returns he doesn't become as easily angered as this time around!

Speaking of CookieCrafter80, he has also been banned for 7 days for spamming. This ended up in some Forumers debating what is right due to the fact they were diagnosed with autism, thus meaning they most likely are trying to have fun, instead of just being a spammer with malicious intent. I totally understand where this comes from and the fact that the argument that rules/guidelines shouldn't be followed to a T, but Joe originally want to set the ban to 3 days until seeing Matt's notes of a 7 day ban for the next offence. I also wish to say that despite their spamming, there was no need for the rudeness towards them, such comments shouldn't be tolerated in the Forum at all, to be fair.

Then came a major story in the Forum, with Joe announcing that Abu had been banned for 3 days for what has been said by the majority of the Forum population, posting a copypasta in Forum & Shoutbox Randomness out of context. The reason for this was that Abu had already been warned for rudeness that same day towards RUNEPATRIARCH for calling him "Rudepatriarch". However, using evidence that Abu used the search feature in the Forum as well as the argument that the comment wasn't initially directed at anyone, made Joe understand it was a misunderstanding and unbanned him as a result.

Later that day, Matt ended up clarifying that it is not for the moderators to understand a copypasta is out of context and that using them with the knowledge they are rude are subject to warnings and/or bans. I want to thank Matt personally for clarifying this. Due to this being clarified, Abu's offence can be taken as a warning, instead of a ban.

This discussion over Joe's decision behind Abu's ban ended up in Danny (Pizzaccino) to start a suggestion topic, in which multiple Forumer agreed with, alongside with Sky (CursedSkylark) writing an essay as to why it would be beneficial to have a second mod based on the Forum's current concerns, alongside with the fact that any concerns Matt may have to appoint a Global Moderator, and how they can be limited as well as backing up their point with the most recent case study. Joe ended up agreeing with this suggestion, which he had ended up sending a PM to Matt about 3 Forumers who he'd recommend to be a Global Moderator.

The 3 recommendations were Danny himself, Kaito and Kiefer. The reaction to this was that Danny was an obvious choice, with Kaito also being a good choice himself, but Kiefer was a controversial option. Many Forumers were against Kiefer's recommendation, citing things such as homophobia as reasons as to why he wouldn't be a good mod, alongside past relations with him. As a result, Joe had ended up messaging Matt about the backlash over Kiefer, but is not allowed to mention anything he mentioned in his PM. He did say he might consider giving a new recommendation instead, but watch this space for more information when it happens!

Comics

In the past few days, Kaito had released Flipline: Escape the Night's Chapter 9C! After being chased away due to clowns after just being introduced to them, Jay, Vivian, Skye, August and CJ decide to split, but don't trust Fletcher at all, thus resulting in boys splitting together to find the hat and the girls splitting together as well.

Fan Characters

The only main news in FC's was Ianiant being very active in his new topic and his renamed Discussion topic. Ianiant had announced earlier this week that he would be announcing he'd make an Archive Topic for his FC's, which will remain locked and not to be spoken in, containing all of his FC's information. It definitely is a cleaner way to organise FC's for sure and I definitely recommend checking it out!

Meanwhile, in the new discussion topic, you can find Ianiant releasing his long-awaited FC named Reginaldo. I must say he actually looks quite good and is definitely one of my favorite FC's of his (Emily is still better) and it is always good to see Ianiant is working on adding new FC's while he continues to work on his FC cleanups! This news was meant to be the main headline, however, due to the moderation incidents, it ended up in being dethroned. It definitely was overshadowed unintentionally so you should definitely check it out now that such a Forum day had ended!

Fan Fiction

The first voting round of Nickito's Big Brother Fan Fiction got released yesterday!

, you should definitely check out how they ended up being nominees and why in addition to seeing their pleas! Of course, I'll just say remember to PM (or DM on Discord) the vote of the person you want to save! It follows similarly to Big Brother UK, where the public vote one person to be safe and that's it, so I can't wait to see that happening!

Debates

On Friday 20th December, there was a widespread overnight debate whether God existed or not, with Joe, Ianiant and Spongebob29 being on the side that he doesn't, while The color of mood is blue and Abu arguing that he does. This was a fun debate in which I asked questions to both sides while giving my own opinion, I actually stayed neutral despite my own belief that he does exist, as I debated things that I felt don't exist, that would disprove the validity of some claims. In the end, it was a debate that was quite major in the shoutbox, with 10 other conversations such as yves singing the lyrics to Butterfly by Loona happening on the Forum. It just was a very active shoutbox with a lot going on.

Moderation Showdown

And finally, as per usual, the Moderation Showdown's elimination round has started where 22 will become a potential 20, but the number could change. As of checking the poll at 2:12 AM GMT, Danny and Sky are leading this round, with Nickito trailing 1 point behind them. After the top 3, there is a gap. As of right now, Spongebob29 is last and will be eliminated, and AskJoe and Theo are tied on votes, meaning they could potentially be eliminated from the showdown as well.
