The United States is the freest and most accepting country in the world. Unfortunately, no matter where you go, or how much is done, there will unfortunately always be people who discriminate against others. And why are we talking about this in a Covid-19 topic?
It isn't either. Better than most of the world, yes. MOST though? I can tell you as someone form a diverse background, who has also been in the United States, that unfortunately th at is not true. |

Oh yeah, and the bad healthcare here, well you can thank Obamacare for that. While our healthcare is probably pretty good here, that made our healthcare so much worse.

Yes, "pretty free" is accurate. It is by no means an authoritarian country, and among democratic countries also much better. But "most free" is complete propaganda fed to American children. Simply by going to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or most of western and central Europe will lead to you realising that the United States is not quite #1 here.

And yes, Obamacare made it worse. People can't keep their doctor like the plan says.
We couldn't keep our doctor. We had to keep changed from different doctors.

Canada has the following that is better than the United States: - Stronger democracy, including more faith in democratic institutions in the country - Lower corruption - Higher freedom of press - Freedom of expression, rather than just speech - Longer life expectancy - Lower income inequality - Lower crime rate (including homicide rate) This applies to most countries in central Europe compared to the United States as well, if not all... I am on phone but I can back this up with sources (I only gave points that I know are true according to certain quantifiable sources). So if you want to know a specific one let me know. Also, the healthcare is not free. It is paid for by taxes, which is worth it in the eyes of over 90% of this country. |
