The USA's government and the CDC could have taken earlier precautions, they could have actually been testing people for weeks now, but no, they are not because they want all tests to be made in the United States and not given to them internationally. Now the USA has reported 100+ deaths and cases are increasing exponentially, or worse (New York state went from 900 to 1700 in one day). And you cannot be tested unless you have symptoms or are a celebrity, so the actual number of cases is likely 40-60% higher because of how those are the amount that are asymptomatic. Good luck Americans. Your entire nation will probably be quarantined soon to avoid becoming like Italy.

Incorrect. His wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, returned from a conference in the United Kingdom and went into self-isolation after showing flu-like symptoms. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has not shown any symptoms but self-isolated just in case. This is despite Canada only being the 20th most affected country in the world. Canada had tested more than 38K people as of the end of 17 March, whereas in the USA there were only 41K tests done, a marked improvement from the 23K the previous day which does have to be commended because it means Americans are now taking it seriously. However, Canada has 9x less people than the United States and still managed to test ALMOST DOUBLE more in number until yesterday. The reason for that is because states like Florida are suppressing new information, forcing sheriffs to have to individually reveal that the number of cases is 5x higher than reported by the state government, and because the CDC refused to use tests made by the WHO and wanted to use tests made in the United States only. |
