I would love to see the Papa games on Nintendo Switch! Plenty of other mobile games have made the jump; it seems natural to me. I would happily start from scratch on any of them if I could play them on my Switch.

I know, but what if it's docked? A switch game can't JUST be handheld. And it's gonna take Matt and Tony a long time to port that onto switch, after doing apps and flash games for such a long time.

As awesome as this would be, I am gonna have to agree with Nolley. On top of what Nolley said, some people don't have a Switch Stylus to use either.

All I gotta say, is if they somehow make it work, I'll definitely buy it.

You don't. Need a stylus? You have fingers. And obviously it couldn't be played docked. Handheld only. Unless they figure out a button configuration, which they could do.

For Gamerias I’m thinking that the entire UI would have to be revamped for it to work with a controller
Platformer games though would work perfectly

The Switch isn't like a tablet. It's hard to use fingers on a Switch.

That's why they have a pen.
Not all Switches come with one.

Could it be possible to use a joy-con as a pointer (In the same vein as a wii remote) and use that for docked playing? You could move the joy-con around and press...I don't know A for things like picking and then placing toppings and all that. Sounds a bit better in my head but I don't think it's entirely impossible for them to create a gameria for the switch. Even if they were capable of creating a gameria for a new platform from scratch, my suggestion could be uncomfortable to control I'm not sure.

Overall, I think that while this might sound like a good idea, this is actually impossible due to many factors:
1- The controls The controls are very tricky to figure out. -Phil- has a good idea, as in using the joycons as wii remotes. Various games, like Super Mario Galaxy use this technique. But think about how awkward that would be to control it. You could with the all handheld approach, like Pokemon Cafe Mix, but that would be weird. The main selling point of the switch is the ability to play in both handheld AND on the TV. As you can see, in both scenarios, this idea would not work
2- Matt and Tony Matt and Tony have spent many years mastering how to make games using both flash and apps. But porting that all on the switch would be a totally different situation. Console games use a whole different UI than both apps and flash games. It would take months, maybe years, for Matt and Tony to learn how to use this UI. And don't forget, they're just two people. Usually, game devs have a team of people helping them to develop and port the game onto the Switch. But in Matt and Tony's case, it would take a long time to port ONE gameria. Maybe if Flipline had more people working behind the scenes, they could make it happen. But that sadly doesn't seem like the case.
3- They don't have a reason to Let's say they ported the game onto the switch. People now have two options on how to play the game; they can either play on the app, or on the switch. They play the game on the switch, and find it with its clunky controls and inconveniency that it's not a very good game. Less and less people buy it, and the sales are mostly reliant on the apps. With all that hard work and hours sunk into it, do you think that it's worth it to make a bad game? Matt and Tony already have enough from the apps to support their families. So why spend all that time to make a game that only gets them a little bit more money?
In conclusion, as good as it might sound, the gamerias on the switch would be a horrible idea.
